Natural ways to Heal Acne Scars

You may have won the acne battle, but sometimes acne can leave haunting reminders of that battle in the form of acne scars. If you have a light to moderate acne scaring on your face there are many natural ways to heal acne scars. Looking for some natural ways to heal acne scars? Let’s look at a few.

Honey – Amazingly honey can be effective in helping to lessen the appearance of acne scars due to its anti bacterial properties. Honey can lessen the bacteria on our faces that can often help acne scars form.

Exfoliate – Make your own all natural exfoliate by mixing baking soda & water together into a thick paste. Wash your face like your normally do, then apply the baking soda scrub onto your skin by rubbing it into your skin where your acne scars are. Exfoliation helps remove the dead skin cells from our skin so newer cells can be revealed underneath. Exfoliation also helps promote blood circulation, and the production of new skin cells. So not only can you help get rid of your acne scars you are also helping your skins over all health too.

Lemon Juice – Lemon juice is a wonderful natural way to help gets rid of your acne scars. Lemon juice is very acidic, and can help eat away at the top layer of skin revealing smooth newer skin underneath. What you do first is wash your face like you normally does. Next then simply take a cotton ball, or pad with lemon juice on it. After that apply the soaked in lemon juice cotton ball/pad to the affected area, and let it dry there. Do this 3 times a day, (again washing your face before you apply the lemon juice.) and soon see results.

Urine – You read this correctly urine, fresh urine that is. This is one of our less conventional natural ways to heal acne scars, but surprisingly urine has been used for many ages in treating skin ailments. It is said to apply urine on the scaring and let it rest there for about 15 minuets so it can soak into the skin, then wash off. Urine is actually sterile, and it helps reduce inflammation, improve skin tone by getting rid of those scaring skin blotches.

Vitamin E – Another popular treatment in our natural ways to heal acne scars, and that is with Vitamin E. You can buy Vitamin E gel capsules at any health food store, or even in at your local drug store chains like CVS or Walgreens. You do not take them though, what you do is take a pin ,and prick the vitamin E gel cap to squeeze some of the gel out to apply to the affected area in a circular motion. Do this once every day whether it be in the morning after you wash your face, or at night after you wash your face. Vitamin E is very good for our skin, and can help lighten up the acne scaring.

Remember try these natural ways to heal acne scars if you have light to moderate acne scaring. If your scaring is not improving, or if your acne scaring is very severe it is best to seek advice from a dermatologist.
